There's so much to celebrate at this time of year, from new babies to warmer weather, and this project captures that jubilant spirit perfectly. Whether the occasion is the arrival of a bundle of joy or an invite to a birthday barbecue, you'll find something fabulous here. We've included some quirky shaped blanks and even incorporated 3-D springs for maximum impact.

1. Trim a pink blank 9cm x 14cm long. Add the cake paper piece to the top section then striped border below. Stick another length of patterned paper to the bottom.
2. Cut two strips from the off-cut, using scalloped scissors on one edge. Attach these sections to the greeting, as shown. Thread a green tag with pink ribbon and stick to the top right of the card at an angle, using foam pads. To finish, decorate the tag and patterned paper with green gems.
If you don't own decorative scissors, add contrasting rather than matching card to the top and bottom
