In the fold
Crease and fold your way to stunning greetings using simple paper techniques
Birthday Surprises
Step One
Cut a 6cm square aperture in the front of an orange blank and mount mauve card behind. Trim patterned paper into four 5cm squares. Take one square and fold in half point to point, so it becomes a triangle shape. Open out the paper and place the pattern side face down. Fold the left side in to the middle so it lines up with the central crease. Then fold the right side of the paper towards central crease in the same way.
Step Two
Fold all four squares the same way and then glue them to the aperture, as shown. Cut four 3cm squares from purple paper and make into kite folds as before. Attach in between the other shapes. Add five gems and the ‘Birthday Surprises’ message, to finish.
